Welcome the holiday season with the Liberty Hill Christmas Parade — a lighted parade complete with the sights and sounds of Christmas.
The parade follows a route that begins at Liberty Hill Elementary School and ends Liberty Hill Intermediate School, adjacent to Lions Foundation Park where the Liberty Hill Christmas Festival continues into the evening.
Prizes will be awarded for 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place and Honorable Mention.
All visible sides of all floats must be covered and decorated, and entries are encouraged to utilize sight, sound, and motion to engage attention.
The staging grounds will open at 4pm and the roads will close by 5:30pm.
Judging will be completed by 5:30pm and announced as you pass the Grandstand.
There will be a MANDATORY SAFETY Meeting at 5:20 at the front registration table, requiring at least one driver/rep from each entry.
The National Anthem and Moment of Prayer will begin at 6pm.
Please plan your entry to accommodate the weather predicted. Secure any canopy/tent used, and provide holds for passengers to use.
Please Follow Us on www.facebook.com/libertyhillchristmas to receive updated information.
Register here to enter the parade and reserve your space with a $20 parade entry fee. No refunds.
More Parade Information:
One registration per group, but register each float if your group is bringing more than one vehicle.
Parking for non-parade vehicles is in the grassy area at Liberty Hill Elementary School. Drop-offs should use the front circular driveway.
Leaving a second car at the finish line (Liberty Hill Intermediate School parking lot) will be your best ride back to your vehicle if needed. Direct all parents/carpools to pick-ups at the Parade Finish Line. No passengers will be allowed to remain on open floats leaving the LHIS finish line. Pre-arrange a pick-up spot at the festival to avoid congestion and youngsters walking through the busy parking lot. Floats will be directed into the LHIS drop-off driveway.
Tossing candy or goodies to your fans is a time-honored tradition. Please toss items far away from the wheels and parade walkers. Remember to pace yourself, as there will be spectators for a mile!
No alcohol, tobacco, or firearms on any entry.
All animals must be under control and have kennel, cargo, or cage space available if needed during the event.
